Abstract

In this paper, renewable integrated multi micro-grid based combined economic-emission dispatch is presented. The optimal economic scheduling of MMG can be formulated as a multi-objective problem. The proposed MMGs include various types of renewable and non-renewable sources, such as wind turbine, solar, fuel cell, diesel generators, micro turbines and Electric vehicle. MMGs have flexible loads, the electrical power balance between the total power generated by each micro-grids and its individual load demand is determined regarding the power purchased from micro-grid or from utility grid. The objective is to obtain the optimal operation of each MG is aimed for reducing the total operation cost and net emission, which is handling by a novel improved whale optimization algorithm. The test system has considered into 24-h time horizon. The obtained results prove the superiority and efficiency of handling of proposed optimization problem over the various other optimization techniques used.
